We place the creative ‘act’ of architecture onto the high street, revealing our studio to the public and encouraging direct engagement with our work and approach.

Our vision is to create a place which enables, engenders and encourages open dialogue with our local communities through meaningful interaction.

Through our exhibition and event programme we listen, learn, make, and narrate, continuously seeking opportunities for experiment and innovation.

CLAY | CULTURE | CARBON

 

Morris+Company’s latest exhibition explores clay not just as matter, but as memory: local, human, and deeply cultural. In an age of climate crisis, biodiversity loss and housing emergency, what can this material teach us about sustainability, innovation and craft?

 

Through hands-on workshops, conversations and community collaborations — from schoolchildren to industry specialists — we reimagine the role of clay in a carbon-conscious world. Can we maintain craft in an age of industrialisation? Can we build beauty with biodiversity in mind? And how do we ensure our buildings remain loved, lived-in and lasting?

The People’s Pavilion 2023 public exhibition, February 2023 An exhibition on display for a month in our street-facing window display on Mare Street. Showcasing seven fantastic designs from young East Londoners, 14-18 years of age. Each design has been created by a collaborative team of 3-4 young people in each.

Meanwhile City: How temporary interventions create welcoming places with a strong identity, October 2022 We hosted Petra Mark, who led an evening of discussions about the power of meanwhile projects in shaping the identity of places and building resilient communities. As part of Meanwhile City book launch, a new publication by Milk Buro.
Make My Net Work, October 2022 How can comms extract the best value from networking events in the coming year? Build Up – Networking Community asked key speakers from UKREiiF, Festival of Place, Footprint+ and LREF.
